ECHO Will Attend AFCOM's Data Center World 2010 Trade Show

ECHO announces they will be attending the AFCOM’s Data Center World® 2010 Trade Show, the industry’s premier networking and educational conference, located at the Mirage Hotel and Convention Center in
Las Vegas, Nevada, October, 3-6 2010.

Data Center World is the largest global event of its kind and is one of the 50 fastest growing tradeshows. The trade show will consist of virtual training tours, educational and product information sessions, a keynote speaker, and peer connection networking.

ECHO Gets WasteWise

ECHO, a provider of 100% Certified media and data eradication services, has partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WasteWise program.

WasteWise is an EPA sponsored organization that is setting the standard for environmental leadership. By eradicating and overwriting data on used media, testing the media to strict standards, certifying it and reentering it into the marketplace as 100% Certified media, ECHO is keeping solid waste in the form of used tapes from entering our nation’s landfills.

“ In the past year, ECHO prevented over 130,000 pounds of media tape that traditionally would have been dumped in landfills, incinerated or shredded,” said Scott Taylor of Echo. “Our green solution enables data media tape to be recycled through a safe, secure and complete data eradication process.”

WasteWise is a free, voluntary, EPA program through which organizations eliminate costly municipal solid waste and select industrial wastes, benefiting their bottom line and the environment. WasteWise is a flexible program that allows partners to design their own waste reduction programs tailored to their needs.

ECHO Attended AFCOM's Data Center World 2010 Trade Show in Nashville

ECHO attended the AFCOM’s Data Center World® 2010 Trade Show, the industry’s premier networking and educational conference, located at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.

The show brought in more than 800 data center management professionals. Keeping Tapes Out of the Landfills

From January to April 2009, ECHO Tape has saved over 50,000 data storage media tapes from going to a landfill.

The Sierra Club Ohio Chapter ECHO Tape is proud to announce a new partnership with The Sierra Club Ohio Chapter, though which ECHO Tape will contribute financial support for environmental advocacy efforts. Recently ECHO Tape donated $0.25 per ECHO tape sold, in celebration of Earth Day and raised just over $1600 for the Sierra Club Ohio Chapter. ECHO Tape Nominated For Outstanding Green Innovation Award

ECHO Tape, was recognized as a finalist for the TechColumbus Innovation Award for Green Innovation (less than 50 employees). The event was held on Thursday, February 5th, 2009 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center Grand Ballroom. ECHO was nominated as a company that has developed a GREEN product or service that is commercially available and in production, and is in use with at least one customer client. Also ECHO has applied or implemented a technology or process change that has a net positive impact on the environment, such as decreasing energy comsumption as compared to conventional operations, decreasing regulated air or water emissions, decreasing solid-waste as compared to conventional operations.
